Two Little Stints remained at Carlton Marshes, 1 October, while other waders at this site included three Ruffs, three Ringed Plovers, three Black-tailed Godwits and two Dunlin, 14 Snipe, 1 October and a Grey Plover flew over on 5 October. Elsewhere, four Curlews were noted at Belton Marshes, 1 October and 20 Avocets, 70 Curlews, a Black-tailed Godwit, 11 Ringed Plovers and 20 Dunlin at Burgh Castle, 3 October.

A Richard’s Pipit was reported at Belton Marshes, 1 October. A Yellow-browed Warbler, a Firecrest and two Willow Warblers were seen at Waveney Forest, Fritton and a Rock Pipit at Belton Marshes, 1 October and a Tree Pipit flew south over Thorpe Marshes, Haddiscoe, 3 October. Lesser Redpolls were recorded at Thorpe Marshes, 3 October and Carlton Marshes (two), 6 October; Bearded Tits at Belton Marshes (49), 1 October, Thorpe Marshes, 3 October and Carlton Marshes (four) and Herringfleet Marshes, 6 October; Cetti’s Warblers at Belton Marshes (two), 1 October, Carlton Marshes (four), 2 October, Thorpe Marshes (two), 3 October and Oulton Marshes, 5 October; Stonechats at Thorpe Marshes, 3 October, Oulton Marshes (two), 5 October and Carlton Marshes (two), 7 October and Kingfishers at Belton Marshes (two), 1 October and Carlton Marshes, 6 October.

A Great White Egret was seen at Carlton Marshes, 2 October, while Little Egrets were reported from Belton Marshes (nine) and Fritton Marshes, 1 October, Burgh Castle (two), 3 October, Oulton Marshes, 5 October and Carlton Marshes (two), 6 October.

Raptors included a Red Kite at Fritton Marshes, 1 October, Peregrines at Belton Marshes, 1 October and Burgh Castle, 3 October and a Merlin at Thorpe Marshes, 3 October. Hobbies were recorded at Waveney Forest (four) and St Olaves, 1 October and Marsh Harriers at Belton Marshes (nine), Fritton Marshes (three), St Olaves, 1 October, Thorpe Marshes (six), Burgh Castle, 3 October and Carlton Marshes (three), 7 October. A Short-eared Owl was seen at Thorpe Marshes, 3 October and Barn Owls were reported from Carlton Marshes (two) and Haddiscoe Marshes, 1 October.

Finally, a flock of 60 Pink-footed Geese flew south at St Olaves, 7 October.
