A Great Grey Shrike was seen at Oulton Marshes, 27 October. At nearby Carlton Marshes, the first Fieldfare of the autumn was recorded on 23 October, along with 40 Bearded Tits, and a Ring Ouzel, two Water Pipits and five Stonechats, 25 October and a Brambling and ten Cetti’s Warblers, 26 October. Elsewhere, a Brambling and seven Lesser Redpolls were noted at Lopham Fen, 24 October, a Grey Wagtail at Diss Mere, 23 October, Cetti’s Warblers at Lopham Fen (three) and Redgrave Fen (two), 24 October and Oulton Marshes (five), 26 October, Stonechats at Lopham Fen, 24 October and Oulton Marshes (two), 26 October, Bearded Tits at Lopham Fen (two) and Redgrave Fen (two), 24 October and a Kingfisher at Redgrave Fen, 24 October.
The first Whooper Swans of the autumn were recorded at Beccles (five flew west), 23 October and St Olaves (six flew north), 24 October and 50 Pink-footed Geese flew west at Earsham, 25 October. A flock of 300 Golden Plovers was present off Ellough Road, Worlingham, 23 October and four Black-tailed Godwits at Carlton Marshes, 27 October. Bitterns were seen at North Cove, 22 October and Oulton Marshes, 26 October and two Little Egrets were present at Redgrave Fen, 24 October.
A Peregrine was seen at Castle Marsh, North Cove, 23 October, two Marsh Harriers at Carlton Marshes, 25 October and three Short-eared Owls at Oulton Marshes, 26 October.
