WBC Sightings

10 to 16 November 2019

Three Waxwings were present at the junction of Coney Hill and Ellough Road in Beccles on 16 November. On the same day, a Water Pipit, three Stonechats, a Bearded Tit, two Chiffchaffs and a Cetti’s Warbler were recorded at Carlton Marshes. A Blackcap was seen at Belton, 13 November, while single Kingfishers were noted at Beccles Marshes and Carlton Marshes, 16 November.

Two Great White Egrets were seen at Haddiscoe Island and 13 Little Egrets roosted at Carlton Marshes, 16 November.

Notable raptors included a Merlin and a Peregrine at Haddiscoe Island and a Red Kite at Carlton Marshes, 13 November. Marsh Harriers were noted at Haddiscoe Island, 13 November and Carlton Marshes, 16 November and a Barn Owl at Carlton Marshes, 16 November.

Finally, a Green Sandpiper and two Redshanks, together with a Brent Goose were noted at Carlton Marshes, 16 November.
