Red Kites were recorded at Carlton Colville, 17 June and Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 20 June, with three Buzzards also noted at Carlton Colville, 17 June. Hobbies were seen at Lopham Fen and Beccles Marshes, 16 June and St Olaves, 20 June and three Barn Owls at Carlton Marshes, 18 June.
Two Turtle Doves were present at Lopham Fen, 20 June, while Cuckoos were recorded at Carlton Marshes, 15 June and Lopham Fen (two) and St Olaves, 20 June. Single Spotted Flycatchers were reported from Worlingham, 19 June and Lopham Fen, 20 June and a Grasshopper Warbler was heard at Lopham Fen and a Cetti’s Warbler at Burgh Castle, 20 June.
Waders at Burgh Castle included a Black-tailed Godwit, two Avocets, six Curlews and 70 Redshanks, 20 June, with a further Redshank at Redgrave Fen, 15 June. Little Egrets were noted at Carlton Marshes, 15 June and Burgh Castle (four), 20 June, and finally a Pink-footed Goose was present at Burgh Castle, also 20 June.
