A Spoonbill flew high north-east over Castle Marsh, North Cove, 5 July and three Little Egrets were present at Carlton Marshes, 8 July.
A Spotted Flycatcher was seen at Beccles, 2 July and a pair was feeding three young in a club member’s garden at St James South Elmham, 5 July. A Grasshopper Warbler was noted at Carlton Marshes, 2 July, two Cuckoos at Carlton Marshes, 3 July, a Kingfisher at Oulton Marshes, 4 July and two unseasonable Siskins at Ditchingham and two Bearded Tits at Carlton Marshes, 8 July. Cetti’s Warblers were recorded at Carlton Marshes, 3 July and Oulton Marshes, 4 July and Stonechats at Lopham Fen (adult and two juveniles) and Oulton Marshes, 4 July.
Hobbies were seen at Belton and Carlton Marshes, 2 July, Red Kites at Billingford, 2 July and Ellingham, 3 July and Barn Owls at Lopham Fen and St James South Elmham, 4 July and Carlton Marshes (three), 6 July.
Waders at Carlton Marshes included two Black-tailed Godwits and two Redshanks, 3 July, three Green Sandpipers, 5 July and a Ruff, 6 July.
