WBC Sightings

20 to 26 October

The Great White Egret was again present at Aldeby shooting lakes, 20 October.

A Red-breasted Merganser was seen at Burgh Castle, 21 October and a flock of 30 Pink-footed Geese flew south over Ashby, 22 October, while a feral male Ruddy Shelduck was noted at Castle Marsh, North Cove, 20 October.

A Brambling was seen at Barsham Marshes, 20 October and two Lesser Redpolls flew south over Waveney Forest, Fritton, 24 October. An impressive 56 Pied Wagtails were noted at a pre-roost gathering at Castle Marsh, 20 October and two Stonechats were recorded at the same location the following day.

Finally, a Spotted Redshank was present at Burgh Castle Flats, 21 October
