The wader highlight of the week involved six Wood Sandpipers at Carlton Marshes on 27 July. Other waders at Carlton Marshes included 13 Common Sandpipers, 25 July and five Black-tailed Godwits and two Green Sandpipers, 26 July, while waders at Burgh Castle on 25 July included 18 Avocets, 100 Black-tailed Godwits, 42 Curlews and two Dunlin. Elsewhere, Green Sandpipers were recorded at Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 23 July and Earsham GP (seven), 25 July and six Common Sandpipers were noted along the riverbank at North Cove, 26 July.
A singing Grasshopper Warbler was heard at Lopham Fen, 21 July and a Grey Wagtail was seen at Ditchingham, 23 July.
Three adult Mediterranean Gulls were noted at Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 23 July and Little Egrets were present at Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe (two), 23 July and Carlton Marshes (six), 26 July.
Finally, single Hobbies were noted at Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 23 July and Lopham Fen, 27 July.
