23 to 29 June 2013

A Great White Egret was present on the scrape at Carlton Marshes, 29 June, while Little Egrets were logged at Carlton Marshes (ten) and Earsham GP (four), 29 June.

The recent run of Red Kites continued with two at Waterloo, near Gillingham and one at Carlton Colville, 23 June, while Hobbies were seen at Waterloo, 23 June, and Somerleyton, 29 June.

Turtle Doves were reported from Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 23 June, St James South Elmham, 24 June, and Beccles Marshes, 25 June. A Cuckoo was present at St James South Elmham, 25 June, and three Spotted Flycatchers were seen at Earsham Mill, 25 June.

Notable waders included six Avocets and a Curlew at Burgh Castle, 28 June, and Green Sandpipers at Flixton GP (seven), 25 June, and Earsham GP, 25 and 29 June.
