WBC Sightings

24 to 30 August 2014

A Crane was seen in flight at Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 26 August, while Little Egrets were noted at Burgh Castle (three) and Carlton Marshes (three), 24 August.

An Osprey was seen at Broome GP, 29 August, with Hobbies at Flixton GP and Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, 24 August and three Buzzards at St Olaves, 27 August.

Waders at Carlton Marshes included four Ruff and two Green Sandpipers, 25 August and two Little Ringed Plovers, 29 August. A Greenshank, 227 Redshanks, 52 Avocets, 16 Curlews and ten Dunlin were present at Burgh Castle Flats and a Ruff, three Green Sandpipers and two Common Sandpipers at Flixton GP, 24 August.

Carlton Marshes hosted a Wheatear and two Yellow Wagtails, 24 August and a juvenile Cuckoo, 30 August, while two Yellow Wagtails were also seen at Flixton GP, 24 August and a Kingfisher at Beccles Marshes, 28 August.
